VCUArts School Presentation & Private Portfolio Review

On September 17, we were thrilled to welcome Asia Rorick, VCUarts Admissions Officer, to ViennART Academy!

Asia joined us for a special VCUarts presentation, introducing our students to the wide range of art and design programs at Virginia Commonwealth University. She shared information about the different majors, the admissions process, and what students can expect when applying to VCUarts.

Our students had the opportunity to learn directly from a VCUarts admissions representative and ask questions about pursuing art and design at the college level.

Following the presentation, Asia met individually with senior students from our Portfolio Prep Program to review their portfolios.

These one-on-one reviews gave students the opportunity to present their artwork directly to a VCUarts admissions officer and receive feedback on their portfolios. Students were also able to discuss their interests, intended areas of study, and how their work could be presented as part of their college applications.

We are excited to share that many of the portfolios reviewed during the event were approved by VCUarts Admissions! 🎉 This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to see how their hard work and portfolio development are coming together as they prepare for college applications. Receiving feedback directly from an admissions officer also gives our seniors valuable insight as they continue refining their portfolios and preparing for the next step in their art education.
