Celebrating Our 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Award Winners

We are proud to celebrate our students who earned recognition in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Representing both our Portfolio Prep Program and Art Competition Prep Program, these students demonstrated exceptional skill, creativity, and commitment through their award-winning work.

Beginning in 2026, FCPS is no longer the regional affiliate for the Scholastic Art Awards. As a result, our students now compete in the Region-at-Large East Art region, one of the largest and most competitive regions, with submissions drawn from a broad geographic area. Earning recognition from such an expanded and highly competitive pool makes this year’s achievements especially meaningful. Despite the heightened competition, our students truly stood out and earned more awards than ever before!

This year, our students received an outstanding total of 79 awards, including 19 Gold Keys, 28 Silver Keys, and 32 Honorable Mentions. These honors span an impressive range of categories, including Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Conceptual Art, Installation and Participatory Art, Graphic Design, and Art Portfolio. Together, these achievements highlight the versatility, originality, and creative excellence of our students.

We are immensely proud of every award recipient and grateful for the continued support of our instructors and families. These accomplishments reflect not only talent but also dedication, growth, and a strong commitment to artistic development.

Congratulations to all of our students. We look forward to seeing how your artistic journeys continue to evolve.
